The Granaries of Acorn Woodpeckers

Woodpecker has not studied in top management school or certified, to exhibit it’s craft,  it is simply natural habit, how a woodpecker prepare for winter food…

Here, lets find out…

First, he finds a dead tree and starts making holes for the acorns. Each hole is made very thoughtfully, because if the hole is large, other birds can easily steal the acorn. If the hole is narrow, the nut can break and deteriorate. By the end of summer, the woodpecker’s “jewellery” work ends, by this time the acorns ripen and take their places in the tree. The trunk of a large tree can hold about 50,000 acorns, allowing the bird a satisfying winter!!! Each Acorn Woodpecker group works together to maintain and defend its acorn collection. The same tree, called a “granary”, is reused over generations to store the winter food supply.

Solution to all the problems can’t be taught in B Schools but using our own senses & awareness is much more powerful.
